  • What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t an architect?

I think about this often. Each time, I realized I would choose the same path again. But I’d probably choose writing and directing theatre if I couldn’t be in this field.

  • What’s a simple pleasure that brings you joy outside of work?

One of my greatest pleasures outside of architecture—which is still closely connected—is travelling. Exploring new cities and discovering their unique characters and stories inspires me endlessly.

  • What area of architecture are you most passionate about?

It’s funny—over the past 25 years, no matter which area I’ve worked in, it’s always brought me joy. I honestly can’t say which field has brought me more happiness. Every project feels like a new puzzle with its own set of challenges—and solving it is always rewarding.
